Grenoble-born producer Thaylo returns with Echoes of Dawn, a five-track EP released this past weekend via PLAYY. Records. With over 6 million Spotify streams and support from tastemakers such as Solomun, Martin Garrix, and Nora En Pure, Thaylo continues to carve out a distinct presence within the electronic music landscape. His discography spans releases on Colorize, Purified, and Kontor, as well as a collaboration with Teho on the melodic techno single ‘Belong’. The 2025 Drown In Your Eyes EP earned critical acclaim from YourEDM, When We Dip, Magnetic Magazine, House Music With Love, and NPR Music, while securing spots in the Beatport Top 100 Progressive House and Deezer Indonesia Top 100. Thaylo’s productions have also landed on influential Spotify playlists including Chill Tracks, Melancholia, Afterhours, Open Air, Electronic Rising, and Summer House 2025.
Echoes of Dawn is a meticulously crafted emotional arc, designed for the dancefloor but anchored in introspection. The title track sets the tone with a dreamlike, psychedelic wash, where siren-like vocals and a magnetic melody draw listeners into the EP’s immersive world. ‘Hidden Sky’ explores a darker, more urgent space, propelled by a sweeping bassline and insistent rhythmic drive. ‘Dewfall’ distinguishes itself through its patient build, balancing restraint and release as stuttering synths heighten anticipation. The EP closes with ‘Not A Dream’, where hypnotic, vaporous vocals and detailed sound design hint at a subtle evolution in Thaylo’s sonic identity.
