Berlin’s Raz Ohara has long been a standout name in electronic music, a producer and composer whose genre-blending style keeps fans and critics guessing. With a career spanning solo releases and collaborative projects like The Odd Orchestra and Feathered Sun, he’s worked alongside talents such as Apparat, Chilly Gonzales, and Acid Pauli, crafting a sound that nods to legends like Nina Simone while embracing ambient and experimental vibes. Friday, June 27, 2025, marked the release of his latest single Ignited on House Of Frequency, a tantalizing preview of his upcoming album Memories of Tomorrow. Hot on the heels of the well-received Beyond and Deep Down, which debuted on Electronic Groove and earned airplay on Radio Eins, Ohara’s momentum is undeniable—bolstered by 30 million streams and a freshly announced residency at Babel in Ibiza this summer.

The track itself, Ignited, is a sonic journey that’s equal parts uplifting and immersive. Built on a foundation of a driving bassline and crisp, organic percussion, it pulls you in with its hypnotic rhythm. Arpeggiated synth leads weave through the mix, creating a dreamy, almost weightless feel, while Ohara’s vocals—smoky, resonant, and brimming with emotion—cut through with a quiet intensity. The production is sharp yet subtle, with layers that ebb and flow, keeping the energy dynamic without ever feeling overdone. It’s a vibe that could easily fit alongside Moderat or Bonobo, but Ohara’s distinct touch makes it stand apart, a perfect teaser for what’s to come on Memories of Tomorrow.

Speaking on the single’s deeper meaning, Raz Ohara offered this insight: “This song is about not losing the trust in ourselves. Every challenge or lesson we need to conquer throughout life is only as hard and difficult as each individual is able to take and solve it. We are perfectly equipped for it – we need to remember and rely on this – also you need to find the right practices that can help you to stay present, healthy, and strong.” That sentiment shines through in Ignited, turning it into more than just a track—it’s a boost of resilience wrapped in sound. As Ohara continues to carve his path, this release is proof he’s got plenty more to say.
