‘Falsche Daten’ is a time-warped techno odyssey, originally crafted in 2005 during Das Mörtal’s early sonic experiments. The track fuses gritty industrial textures with a relentless four-on-the-floor pulse, weaving hypnotic synth lines that squirm and distort like echoes of ‘90s raves. Its dynamic shifts—moments of eerie spaciousness giving way to frenetic hi-hats and jagged synth stabs—create a sound that’s both nostalgic and cutting-edge, appealing to fans of Surgeon and Richie Hawtin. “‘Falsche Daten’ was originally produced in 2005 while channeling my techno influences of the time which were The Hacker & Vitalic,” Das Mörtal shared. “It was made to stand on its own, outside of an album or EP format. It represented a specific moment in time of my early years trying to find out what my sound was.” This single not only showcases his roots but also sets the stage for the Origins EP, promising more of the haunting, dancefloor-ready sound that’s made him a standout in the electronic music scene.
