µ-Ziq unleashed his take on Textbook Maneuver‘s ‘Adrenaline Slip‘ on November 7, 2025, through LLC Records. As Mike Paradinas, the UK producer and Planet Mu label head, has shaped IDM since 1993, releasing under the handles Jake Slazenger, Kid Spatula, and Tusken Raiders. Outlets from Pitchfork to The Guardian, DJ Mag, and Pop Matters have backed his output, with his 1997 full-length Lunatic Harness moving over 100,000 units and standing as a drill’n bass cornerstone. Follow-up Royal Astronomy in 1999 locked in his orchestral electronic edge, landing on NME‘s year-end lists. Through Planet Mu, he’s spotlighted breakcore, footwork, and dubstep talents like Venetian Snares and Jlin, making it a key player in electronic circuits.

The remix pulls from the original’s core; its weaving rhythms, throbbing synths, and glitchy overlays that build from loose chillout vibes into tense shadows and a frantic IDM peak—into a broader, frostier space. µ-Ziq layers in rattling tambourine hits and chopped breakbeats against wide-open drones, nodding to ’90s shoegaze density without losing the genre’s rhythmic spine.

µ-Ziq shared: “The starting point for my remix of Adrenaline Slip was the one of the stems, an Alchemy patch which sounds like a distorted electric guitar. I processed and cut it up, adding a breakbeat and tried to make it all a bit dreamy and smeared, inspired by 90s shoegaze bands like MBV and early Swervedriver.”
